Hello - Thanks for running such a great blog! I love all the pictures. My partner and I have been considering adding a Brussels Griffon to our family for the past 8 months or so. I do not want to buy from a pet store and am not keen on waiting to find one in a shelter. Do you reccommend a good breeder or other source to find a new little family member? Thanks!
Sorry for the delay, and thanks for the blog love!!
The three top breeders are Sharon Saxon, Cheryl Stevens or Jaye Schultz.
Sharon Saxon bred SoCal Brussels griffons dogs.
Ms. Sharon Sakson-
Cheryl Stevens bred Dex and Homer (you can see them in the blog) and she has been breeding griffs for about 20 or 25 years. She shows at Westminster a lot.
Finally, Jaye Schultz bred Tess and Verlyn ( you can see them on the blog) She is in Wisconsin. She also bred that lovely black rough griff named Winston who used to live in the West Village and has also been featured on the blog. Jaye’s info is on the ABA website. http://www.brussels-griffon.info/
I would also ask that you consider rescuing a Brussels Griffon, there are many Griffs in need of good homes!!!!!! I personally know many people that have gotten a Griff through rescue and everybody is happy, happy, happy.
Best of luck with your search, let me know how it turns out!
